Mobile Elevated Mobile Platforms
Mobile elevating work platforms, or briefly MEWPs, are devices that are used to lift people to areas that are hard to access, usually at height.
MEWPS consist of a working platform on an extending structure and chassis, with controls for operation. MEWPS, by their nature, are designed for temporary works and therefore frequently require transportation between sites, or simply around a single site (often as part of the same job). For this reason, they are almost all designed for easy movement and the ability to ride up and down truck ramps. Battalions offers the below kinds of Aerial Work Platforms:
Telehandlers
Telescopic handlers are integral in any industrial applications that require maintenance or installation at a height that can’t be safely reached with a ladder or if an object is too heavy to be lifted by conventional means.
Mini Cranes
The Mini Crane range of equipment includes Mini Cranes (MC), Knuckle Booms (MK) & Crawler Cranes (CC) which offer the capacity & reach equivalent to larger cranes.
Electric and Diesel Scissor Lifts
Scissor lifts are used to work in tight spaces. This is because they offer maximum manoeuvrability while also having a compact footprint.
Spider Lifts
spider lifts are much like boom lifts, except with a smaller base with four legs, or outriggers, holding it firmly to the ground.
Trailer Mount Mobile Boom Lifts
Lifts consist of an articulated boom and turntable mounted on a towable trailer chassis. These versatile machines can be towed behind vehicles, which is the most distinguishing benefit by allowing users a cheap and convenient way to transport a mobile elevated working platform.
Cranes
A crane is a type of machine, generally equipped with a hoist rope, wire ropes or chains, and sheaves, that can be used both to lift and lower materials and to move them horizontally
